At KingsRock, we don’t believe the skills shortage is someone else’s problem to fix.

That’s why we’re involved in the Construction & Built Environment Task Group through Skills & Employment East Sussex. A group bringing together local colleges, councils, careers hubs, industry bodies and, crucially, construction SMEs.

The group includes representatives from:

NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors)
Apprenticeship & employment skills teams
FMB ( Federation of Master Builders ) @fmb-south
Apprentice Ambassadors

This is about shaping real pathways into construction, supporting apprenticeships, and making sure the next generation has the skills our industry actually needs.

We hear it every day , an ageing workforce, recruitment challenges, and a shrinking talent pool. The solution isn’t just talking about it. It’s getting involved, collaborating locally, and helping shape the future of our industry.
